This type of fungus grows throughout Russia, it can be found everywhere, since it is the most common mushroom. But unfortunately it is not possible to eat it, and in some publications it can be read that it is even poisonous. True, there are species that are allowed for use, but it will be very difficult to distinguish them.
Description and features of the mushroom
The mushroom is called a row mushroom, because they grow only in groups, these mushrooms cannot be found alone. There is a row of poisonous as well as edible. The cap is mushroom, the external signs are quite variable. On the territory of Russia, there are more than 15 varieties of mushroom mushrooms, each of them has its own shape, size and taste.
- A hat. The diameter of the mushroom cap is about 10 centimeters, less commonly six-centimeter caps are found. The top has a gray-white hue, dry and dull to the touch. If the mushroom is already old, then a yellow spot with dots appears in the middle of the cap. The cap of the young mushroom is convex, where the edges are slightly wrapped, the older the rowing, the more its surface becomes open convex.
- Leg. As for the leg, it is dense, the color is the same as that of the hat, but as it ages, it acquires a light brown hue under the hat. The length can reach 10 centimeters, but there are five-centimeter legs.
- Records the rows of white are wide and are next to each other. In a young mushroom, they are white, and when the mushroom grows old, they acquire a yellow tint.
- Pulp rows of dense, saturated, having a white color. If you break it, then inside you can see the pink color. If the mushroom is still young, then the smell is absent, but as it grows older it acquires a rotten aroma, somewhat reminiscent of a radish.
The chemical value of the fungus
The white rowing has a rather large composition, here you can see what benefits it can bring to a person:
- Vitamin (A, B, C, D (2.7), K, PP and betaine.
- Potassium and calcium, phosphorus and iron, sodium and zinc, manganese.
- Lysine and threonine, alanine and phenylalanine.
- Acid (glutamic, aspartic, stearic).
- Ergosterol and phenols.
- Flavonoids and polysaccharides.
According to studies, scientists found that the fungus is able to kill pathogenic bacteria, eliminate or prevent the virus, remove the inflammatory process and increase immunity. It is also recommended to use the row in a complex with the main treatment for:
- diabetes mellitus;
- unstable blood pressure;
- arrhythmias;
- rheumatism;
- mental problems;
- diseases of the genitourinary system;
- cancer.
Edibility of rowing
Basically, rowing is not an edible species, but among them there are also those that, after boiling, can be eaten. It is almost impossible to distinguish between an edible mushroom or a poisonous mushroom, only experienced mushroom pickers can do this. They share their experience on how to distinguish an edible mushroom from an inedible mushroom: if the hats in good daylight have a smooth shape, beautiful white color, then they are poisonous and cannot be eaten.
Mushrooms that you can eat, they always have a shade of any color - purple, pink, purple, yellow and so on. In addition, a bad rowing has an unpleasant specific smell, which can not be said about good mushrooms. Therefore, if a person is not sure which mushroom is growing in front of him, it is better not to touch it and go pick other mushrooms.
You can’t eat mushrooms in a row to people who have the following conditions:
- low acidity;
- gall bladder problems;
- chronic pathology of the gastrointestinal tract;
- pancreatitis
- cholecystitis.
Symptoms of Poisoning
A person may not distinguish between an edible row and a poisonous one, and then a couple of hours after consumption, poisoning occurs, which is expressed by the following symptoms:
- general malaise;
- nausea with vomiting;
- increased salivation;
- diarrhea;
- pain in the stomach.
If at least a few symptoms have been noticed, then you must urgently consult a doctor so that he rinses his stomach and prescribes cleansing drugs. If you do not seek help in time, then hallucinations and other serious health problems are possible.
Where and at what time do mushrooms grow?
White rowan grows on acidic soils in a mixed forest or dense deciduous, where there is an abundance of birch and beech. They can also grow in parks, on the outskirts of the forest, and even in an open meadow under the sun. Most of these mushrooms live in the European part and in Primorye from July to October. The rows grow in a row or form a certain circle.
Similar mushrooms and their distinctive features
This mushroom can be confused with edible mushroom champignon, but if you carefully examine it and smell it, you can distinguish it. The plates differ, in our mushroom they do not darken and the smell is clearly unpleasant, and the mushrooms have a pleasant mushroom aroma. The rowing under the hat also has a ring, which is absent in champignons.
What mushrooms can be confused with a white row:
- With a stinky row, which smells of gas, it also can not be eaten. Even more than that, it contains hallucinogens that, when ingested, even when boiled and fried, can cause hearing problems, vision problems, and even disturb the nervous system.
- Earthy rowing, it is slightly smaller in size than the white row, and small scales can be seen on the hat. The mushroom smells of laundry soap when you cut it.
- Pointy rowing poisonous, has a sharp taste, and on the hat of an ashy shade there is a sharp ending.
- Purple row is an edible mushroom, the diameter of the hat reaches as much as 15 centimeters. The young mushroom has a purple color, and with age becomes lilac-brown. The leg is flat, 8 cm tall, thickens under the hat. This type of fungus can be found quite often, and they grow in large groups (rows).
- Poplar rowing has a hemispherical shape, with aging it becomes more even. Edible mushroom, pink-brown hat grows up to 12 centimeters.
- Gray row. The cap of this edible mushroom is round, with age it becomes flat and ugly, its diameter reaches 12 centimeters. In old mushrooms, the skin may crack and become gray. The grayish leg has a height of up to 15 centimeters, is flat, and becomes thicker under the hat. The records are quite rare, located far from each other, with age they acquire a gray or yellow hue. This type of mushroom grows exclusively in pine forests.
- Scaly rowing is an edible mushroom, the cap is convex dark brown. The cone-shaped hat is velvety, there are small scales on it, the diameter reaches 10 centimeters. The foot reaches 10 centimeters in height. The plates are rare, creamy, rather fleshy. The mushroom has a pleasant fruity aroma, but the taste is slightly bitter.
- Sulfur Yellow the mushroom is inedible, but not very poisonous and slightly toxic. If you eat it, then you can get only a weak poisoning and the symptoms will soon pass. The young mushroom is yellow-gray in color, acquires a rusty tone as it ages. The hat grows to only 8 centimeters in diameter, it is convex in a young mushroom, and as it ages, it acquires a flat shape with a dent in the middle. The leg is up to 10 centimeters high, it thickens either from the very bottom, or, conversely, under the hat. The plates are quite rare, the flesh smells of tar, and the taste of cooked mushrooms is bitter.
- Tiger row. This mushroom is very poisonous, but it is easy to confuse it with a good mushroom. His hat reaches 12 centimeters, has a spherical shape, with aging it becomes like a bell, and in very old specimens it is flat. The skin may be gray, gray-black or off-white in color, covered with scales similar to a tiger or leopard surface. Leg reaches 15 centimeters, white-rusty, straight. The mushroom plates are rare with a green tint. When the mushroom has ripened, droplets of moisture are released on its head. This type of mushroom can be found in coniferous forests or deciduous.

Benefit and harm
Each mushroom can cause harm to the body to some extent and vice versa. To do this, it is worth sorting out and weighing the pros and cons.
Benefit. A mushroom called rowanacea is very useful for the body (if it is edible), since it has a positive effect on the gastrointestinal tract. Also, these fungi contribute to the renewal of cells and the removal of toxins.
Harm. Any mushroom, including row mushroom, absorb all dust, dirt and metals, this mainly applies to old mushrooms, because if the mushroom has outgrown, then it is not recommended to eat. You can’t eat a lot of mushrooms, as it is heavy food for the stomach and flatulence, abdominal pain and nausea can occur.
Interesting information:
- in some countries, rowing is considered a real delicacy, they are grown and sold for export;
- Powder extracted from mushrooms of the Origin is often used in cosmetology to get rid of acne.
Is it possible to grow a row?
Since fungi often have problems in mushrooms, it will be quite difficult to grow on their own. Ryadovka is a finicky mushroom that requires proper care, therefore achieving positive results is very difficult, and in some cases completely unrealistic. For planting edible rows, you should choose a moist area protected from the sun.
The air temperature should not exceed 15 degrees, and the earth 20 degrees. Therefore, they will not be able to grow them on the street; for this, greenhouses with set temperature are needed. You can plant mushrooms with both spores and mycelium.
How to plant with seeds (spores)?
The first step is to go for a few mushrooms into the forest, the main thing is not to confuse the edible mushroom with the poisonous. You need to choose a young, healthy mushroom without rot, yellow spots and worms. Caps of mushrooms are cut off and ground into powder, it is in them a lot of seeds. Then it should be soaked in potassium permanganate in the ratio of 1 gram per 9 liters of water. Leave for 5 hours.
Spores are planted in a mixture of horse manure, foliage and needles, or on a substrate from mushrooms of champignons. The mass, previously soaked, is simply poured onto the bed, and on top it is covered with a substrate. Planting is done in the spring, in order to get fruits in the fall.
How to grow mycelium (mycelium)?
Mycelium seedlings can be obtained in several ways:
- Dig in the forest.
- Grow at home.
- Buy at a specialty store.
If you decide to dig in the forest, then to do it is easy, you just need to find a clearing where these mushrooms grow and dig soil around them. A piece of 20 inches by 10 by 10 centimeters is enough. After which this land is planted in the garden and poured with a substrate.
Buying mycelium is quite difficult, as it is rarely found on the market. In addition, there is a danger that the seller will slip the wrong mycelium or not dead fruiting at all.
How to cook and where can I use the mushroom?
This type of mushroom has a property similar to antibiotics, so it is made in the form of tinctures. But this technique is not confirmed and has not passed clinical studies.
A quick and common way is to boil mushrooms. Before cooking, the mushrooms are well washed under running water, cleaned of the skin, then washed and boiled again in salted water. Cooking time - 20 minutes.
Ryadovka is a fairly common mushroom, but it has many varieties, both edible and poisonous. Therefore, it is very important to be either an experienced mushroom picker, or take with you one that does not recover. This kind of mushroom can be grown in your own garden, but not the fact that everything will end positively.
